wealth management in Switzerland
Swiss private wealth management

The procedure to open a Swiss bank account is straightforward. Clients do not even have to come to Switzerland as account opening documents can be completed by post. However, it is our firm’s policy to meet each new client in person before an account can be opened.

Initial steps
Our first task is to discuss your needs; based on this, we will help you select a suitable custodian bank from our panel of top-rated Swiss partner banks and fill out the relevant account opening forms.

One of the forms the bank will ask you to complete is a Limited Power of Attorney. This bank document establishes the relationship between them, you and us and gives us the authority to pass account instructions to the bank on your behalf.

We are then in a position to look after you in the same way as an adviser from the bank, discussing your banking and investment requirements and communicating with the bank at the same time. Through us you have access to all the services a bank provides.

Your security
You can feel secure under this arrangement since:
  • You retain sole authority under the Limited Power of Attorney to transfer assets out of your account. Our role is limited to passing your deposit and investment instructions to the bank.
  • You are free to cancel the Limited Power of Attorney and your relationship with Invest-Partners at any time
  • You receive a written confirmation from the bank after every transaction giving you a record of all account activity
Once all documentation has been completed and forwarded to the relevant bank, the account is usually opened within 48 hours. You will then be informed of the account number and details of how to make transfers to that account.

Bank Correspondence
Your bank will send you regular statements, as well as written confirmation of every account transaction. This correspondence can be sent to your home address or another address of your choosing. If you prefer, the bank will retain all correspondence so nothing is sent out to you.

In any event Invest-Partners receives a copy of all bank correspondence. This means we are in a position to tell you the up-to-date balance on your account at any time. We are also then able to check that instructions we have passed to the bank on your behalf have been executed correctly.
